Frequently Asked Questions

What hair type is the Gabri Travel Brush good for?

All of them. It is built for carrying rather than for one texture, so it is the brush that keeps your hair in order away from home rather than the one that styles it.

What is special about the pins in the Gabri Travel Brush?

Flexible pins in a cushioned bed, not bristles. They bend under pressure and spring back, where a fixed bristle would hold its line and drag.

Is the Gabri Travel Brush small enough to keep in a bag?

It is the shortest brush we make. The handle is flat, so it lies against the side of a bag instead of rolling around. What it gives up is width: a full paddle like La Claudia takes a wide section at once, which is what you want at home.

Is the Gabri Travel Brush good for scalp massage?

That's half of what it's for. The pins are soft enough to work across the scalp without scratching, which is also the bit that feels good at the end of a long day.

Can I use the Gabri Travel Brush on damp hair?

Yes, and it's the best one we make for that. Start at the ends and work up. It is the brush to reach for straight out of the shower when a rigid brush would pull.

What is the lifetime of the Gabri Travel Brush?

Years, though a bag is harder on a brush than a drawer is. The pins spring back rather than bending out of shape, and the wood is finished rather than painted, so a scuff sands out instead of chipping. The finish marks long before anything stops working.

How do I clean the Gabri Travel Brush?

Dada between the pin rows, then a wipe. It lives in a bag, so it picks up more than a brush that stays on a shelf. Once a week is about right.

Should the Gabri Travel Brush be my only brush, or a second one?

Most people keep it as a second. If you want one brush that does everything at home, the quiz will point you at the right full-size one.

I don’t really write product reviews, but I adore Fabio AND his brushes so am making an exception. He has been cutting my hair for years and is an amazing stylist. When he told me about his new brush line, I bought a couple (La Claudia and La Sophia) to be nice, assuming they would just be, well, brushes. As it turns out, I love them! I have very thick hair and often lose a lot to brushing. But that didn’t happen with my two new beauties, which are lovely in addition to being functional. For travel, I was using a broken off part of an old comb, which is pretty sad. When Fabio told me that La Claudia was being offered in a travel size, I think I was the first to buy one. So happy that I can bring my most excellent brush on trips without killing my toiletry kit. Thank you, Fabio!
