Made in Italy. Shaped by a life in hair.

Fabio Scalia’s life in hair began at fourteen, in Sicily. His craft took him through Milan, London, Paris, Monte Carlo and Los Angeles before finding its home in New York. Today, his two salons occupy distinguished addresses: West Broadway, one of SoHo’s most coveted streets, and Montague Street in Brooklyn Heights, a neighborhood whose historic brownstones and quiet elegance embody a treasured New York way of life.

A hairstylist and trichologist, Fabio brings together an understanding of hair and scalp with an instinct for shape, texture and movement. Decades spent working with every kind of hair have cultivated a particular sensitivity: to what it needs, how it responds, and the difference that thoughtful daily care can make. This knowledge lives in the smallest decisions. The flexibility of a cushion. The finish of a wooden handle. The way a bristle moves through the hair.

It also carries an understanding of something less tangible. Hair is an intimate expression of who we are. It shapes how we see ourselves, how we move and how we meet the world. There is pleasure in finding it exactly as we hoped: soft, luminous, full of character. Caring for its condition and bringing out its beauty are, to us, part of the same pursuit.

FS Collezione grew from this conviction.

The collection began with brushes, familiar objects deserving of greater consideration. Held in the hand each morning, they become part of a personal ritual, their quality revealed through use. The balance should feel natural. The materials should serve a purpose. The design should bring pleasure each time the object is picked up.

Made in Italy by artisans with decades of experience, our brushes bring together hornbeam, beech and walnut, finished by hand. Boar bristles help distribute the hair’s natural oils along its lengths, encouraging smoothness and shine. Selected designs incorporate French nylon to help separate the strands, while a pneumatic cushion provides a gentle, responsive touch. Each element is chosen with care for the hair and for the person using it.

Brushes are the foundation of FS Collezione, and the beginning of a wider world. As the collection evolves, the same sensibility guides every piece: respect for materials, attention to function and a belief that beauty belongs in the objects we live with every day.
