Flexible nylon bristles work deep into every row to lift oil, spray, and styling residue from the base up.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do I actually clean a hairbrush?

Two steps, no soap. Get the hair out first, then the gunk underneath. Dada's nylon bristles reach down between the rows to the base of the pad, which is where product and oil collect.

Dada Brush Cleaner or Ciccio Brush Cleaner?

Dada for the gunk, Ciccio for the hair. Dada's nylon sweeps buildup out of a pad or cushion. Ciccio's steel tines hook wound hair and lift it out. Plenty of people keep both.

Which brushes does the Dada Brush Cleaner work on?

Any pin or cushion brush, so La Claudia, La Chiara and Gabri. It works between the rows on a round brush too, though dense boar is easier with Ciccio.

Will the Dada Brush Cleaner damage my bristles?

No. Nylon against nylon or against a cushion is softer than the brush itself, so it sweeps rather than scrapes. Work along the rows rather than across them.

How often should I clean my brushes?

Pull the loose hair out weekly, proper clean once a month. Left longer, the buildup goes back onto clean hair every time you brush. It's a common reason hair looks greasy a day after washing.

Can I wash the Dada Brush Cleaner itself?

Rinse the nylon head under the tap and shake it out. Keep the beech handle out of the water, wood and repeated soaking do not mix, and let it dry fully before it goes back in a drawer.

I'm still building my collection. What do I need?

Start with the brush and the cleaner follows. the quiz asks about your hair, then tells you which brush to get and which cleaner keeps it working.
