Sizing information+

When choosing the right brush size, there are several factors to consider. You'll want a brush that corresponds comfortably to the size of your hand. The style you want to achieve is another factor. You may find that a larger barrel size helps you achieve better results for long, straight hair; and a small or medium barrel may help you achieve smaller waves and curls better. If you're unsure of what size you need, visit our salons to test the different barrel sizes and find the most comfortable fit, or send us a message through our contact form, and we will gladly guide you to the right brush.

Brush care+

With proper care, your brush will improve over time. Use gentle cleaning methods, such as a brush cleaner or sanitizing spray, instead of soaps and detergents that may harm the brush. When using a hair dryer, point in a downward motion to avoid exposing the brush to direct heat for extended periods of time. It is best not to immerse the brush in water, as it may damage the wood. If you use water to clean the brush, allow it to dry for at least 48 hours before using heat.

Frequently Asked Questions

What hair type is the La Bionda Round Brush good for?

Fine and thin hair, and nothing coarser. It is the lightest brush in the range, and the one to reach for when hair is too fragile for the brushes built around boar.

Which La Bionda Round Brush size is best for my hair type?

The barrel decides the finish. The 36mm is the narrow one, for the tightest bend, curls and real root lift. The 55mm is wider, for a smoother, looser blow dry. If your hair is layered, the 36mm handles the top layers and the 55mm the lengths.

What is special about the bristles in the La Bionda Round Brush?

High-strength nylon with rounded acrylic tips, and no boar at all. Boar needs tension that fine hair snaps under. Nylon flexes instead, and the rounded tips mean nothing sharp reaches your scalp.

Will the La Bionda Round Brush add volume to fine hair?

Yes, if you let it cool. Take a section, bring the brush right up to the root, dry it, then hold for a second before you let go. That pause is where the lift sets.

Can I use the La Bionda Round Brush on damp hair?

Get the knots out first with a comb or a detangling brush like La Claudia, then start brushing at around eighty percent dry. Fine hair is at its most fragile wet.

What is the lifetime of the La Bionda Round Brush?

Years. Nylon does not soften the way boar does, it holds its shape instead, which is the point on fine hair. Replace it when the acrylic tips start going missing.

How do I clean the La Bionda Round Brush?

Dada is the easy one here. Its nylon bristles sweep between the rows without catching the acrylic tips. Lift the hair out weekly and the brush stays as springy as it was new.

Will water damage the La Bionda Round Brush?

Soaking will. Beech is light and absorbent, and water that gets into the bristle base stays there. Wipe it dry and give it 48 hours before heat if it ever gets properly wet.

I think my hair is fine but I'm not sure.

Quick test: if you can barely feel a single strand between your fingers, it's fine. If you're on the fence, the quiz sorts it in two minutes.

I love using la bionda whenever I want the most volume possible, this brush has low tension so it doesn’t pull on my hair. Amazing
